I recorded some shows on my VCR/DVD recorder. I did use tape since a DVD has
to be finalized before you can use it on another machine and that
finalization is not accessible.

So I hooked audio cords to the audio RCA jacks on the back of the VCR and
ran them across the room to my PC. I ran them into a splitter which has a
plug which plugged into the line in on back of my PC.

I have a hum which is recorded when I record the audio. Is there some way of getting rid of the hum so future recordings won't have them in them? Is there some way to get rid of the hum using software like noise clean-up?

Thanks for any help,
Dean
