Hi. I hope some of you out there are doing this and can help. I'm thinking of getting a computer that will be powerful enough fore multitrack recording. I'll probably never go beyond eight tracks. I sing and play guitar. I currently have a Macki 1202 VLZ mixer. Would it be good to use this in the chain? or should I get something else. The software I'm thinking of using is N-track studio 6 and Jaws 14. What do I need in a computer to record up to no more than 8 tracks. Should I build or buy.
