I do it by using it as an external sound card. Just like you said. There is
perhaps a bit more clarity to the sound.

Sorry, I am a bit lost. You say you do 24 bit quality with the 520 in
SounForge? Do you mean that you use the mics and record in SoundForge or do
you find a way to record directly on the unit with that quality?
And does it sound much different when performing in SoundForge?
