I would suggest that you lookat the following mixers:

5 input Behringer Xenyx Q502USB at:
http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/Q502USB.aspx

8 input Behringer Xenyx Q802USB at:
http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/Q802USB.aspx

They will both do what you want and cost much less than $100US.

Although they are available through Amazon or similar on line stores, I would be surprised if you can not find a store in South Africa that sells them. The problem with buying from the USA is the power supply.

Subject: small mixer with usb output

Hi all

Am looking into playing around with some home recordings. Will most
definitely not go commercial with it but it will be mainly to record myself
with guitar and/or backing tracks.

So I am looking for an accessible low budget say 4 channel mixer with a
usb output to the computer. Is there such an animal around to look out for?

I don't need a pro job just something that has a reasonably good sound and
which is accessible for a blind person.

Regards

Andre
