Hi all, I've been using Windows XP for recording and had very good success, until my Windows XP machine decided to give up the ghost, something about the motherboard. Until the Xp computer gave up the ghost, I had made several recordings in which I recorded from the mic, audio in line, and the screen reader at the same time.
I'm temporarily using my wife's old Windows Vista laptop until I can get a Windows 7 desktop computer and have found that this is no longer possible, or at least not as i was used to doing it in XP. What would be the solution for regaining the ability to record from the mic, audio line in, and record the screen reader at the same time if I wished to? I would prefer to use Goldwave for recording as I'm used to it. I've considered that it may take the purchase of either an external sound card or a mixer of some sort. If so, are there any recommendations? My recordings aren't professional by any means, so it doesn't have to be expensive, whatever the solution is. Thanks in advance and happy holidays everyone!
