After looking at the thread you sent me, I am very much inclined to agree;
it's just that I knew that I've seen Winamp play videos before and was
thinking that maybe there was a way to get Winamp to do so as many of my
friends also use Winamp and possibly don't have VLC!  But if I have to use
VLC to watch it, then this is what I shall do!  Thanks for the help and for
the feedback!

as I don't see what good it is doing me!

I would avoid messing with video converters if possible. You may indeed get 
a much bigger file and the quality may in fact be worse. You're probably 
just better off using vlc if you absolutely can't get winamp to play this 
filetype.
