Hi! I’ve written about the Yamaha CDN500 previously to the list but for those who are wondering its a CD Player with a difference, it also handles DLAN Media servers, playback from a USB, streaming from an iPod and Internet radio amongst other things.
So here’s the interesting question, why will the player play M4A files and other audio content from the USB port and DLNA drives and only MP3 files from a CD Rom? You’d think it would be all the same. As a footnoge, this player has been specifically designed to play HD Audio from a Media Server, USB Memory stick etc and the player does a superb job at that.
