Yes, 3.3 will work with Studio 4.33. In fact, future 3.x releases will
contain features and bug fixes from 4.0 series.

Dear broadcasters using Studio 5.00 and later,
I'm delighted to announce the release of SPL add-on for NVDA version 3.3.
This maintenance release includes one bug fix and a little surprise (I think
it is actually a huge one). In addition, for our adventurers, the second
November 2014 snapshot of version 4.0-dev is also available for testing
(read below for more information).

What's new in add-on 3.3:
* For users of SAM encoders: some people reported the following: if
you switch away from SAM encoder window and switch back, you cannot perform
encoder commands such as F12 (stream labeler). This has been fixed.
* A huge Thanksgiving gift/surprise: as you know, if you use screen
readers with SAM Encoders, you had to stay on the encoder window until the
encoder is connected to a streaming server. I'm happy to announce that this
is no longer the case starting from add-on version 3.3. After installing
add-on 3.3 and later, you can work on other things from other programs while
NVDA is keeping an eye on connection attempt messages. Also, if you told
Studio to play the first track after connecting to a streaming server, you
don't have to worry about playing intros for your show while you do other
things such as sending and receiving tweets. One reminder though: you don't
want to exit or restart NVDA while connection is in progress - you may
restart NVDA after connection has been made (and preferably while a track is
playing).
Now the fun part: the second November snapshot of 4.0-dev is packed with new
features and bug fixes designed to gather early feedback before releasing
public beta (the first public beta is scheduled for mid-December). For our
adventurous users, please remember that 4.0-dev is a work in progress, so
please don't try it in a production environment. Also, note that SPL 4.33 is
no longer supported starting from this snapshot.
Here's what's new in the new 4.0-dev snapshot (which can be downloaded from
the link above):
* Encoder bug fixes and surprise: The same bug fix and the surprise
also applies to SPL Encoder.
* SPL Encoder connection messages: NVDA will now detect that you
entered a wrong password (SPL Encoder does show a message saying password
for the server failed). In addition, SPL Encoder support is available for
those using StationPlaylist Streamer.
* Braille Timer: you can now monitor track intros with braille. If
you press Control+Shift+X, NVDA will step through the following four
options: braille track ending, braille track intros, braille both track
endings and intro endings, and braille timer off (default). So if you set
your end of track alarm to 45 seconds, NVDA will braille remaining time for
the track starting from 45 seconds till end of track (this works in Studio
window). Future enhancement will relax this requirement, allowing you to
monitor end of track at all times as long as you are focused in the Studio
window.
* SPL Assistant: due to popular request, the S command to show
track scheduled time now announces the exact time when the track will begin
playback (e.g. 00:15:20 if the next track is set to broadcast at that time).
* SPL Controller: two new commands were added, including remaining
time for the track ( command is R) and enable microphone without fade (N).
Also, beeps will be heard when you turn microphone on or off via SPL
Controller layer. A more powerful and simpler SPL Controller is on its way
for next major release after 4.0.
* Microphone alarm: if you left your mic on for a while, NVDA will
now play an alarm sound to let you know of this fact (by default, microphone
alarm is off; to configure this, press Control+NVDA+4). This setting is
permanent.
* Library scan: fixed a bug where a user would accidentally enable
library scan twice.
