Magic Jack will actually work in Australia; however, you'd only be able to
place calls to the U.S. and Canada. You get assigned a U.S. number. When
calling the U.S., you'll dial your number as if you were calling within the
United States!

Example, to call someone on Area Code 212, if you live say in Chicago, you
will dial 1-212; that is 1 for the country code, then area code and
seven-digit phone number. Net Talk works similarly.

Sincerely,
Olusegun
