Hi!

I just installed this App on my Samsung Note4 and it works very well though not quite in the way I expected it to.

Airfoil Speakers is an App that receives streaming from a device running Airfoil, this can be a Mac or a Windows machine.

Airfoil hijacks an App on your computer or another audio source such as a line-in, microphone, DVD playing, output from your web browser and so on, the audio then is streamed to be received by an AirPlay device or - in this case - Airfoil Speakers For Android.

No setup is required, just install and launch the airfoil Speakers App which is then ready to receive a stream from Airfoil, your device will pop up in the list of devices that Airfoil can stream to.

So what was unexpected about the Android version of Airfoil Speakers? Other versions of the App I've used - for Mac, Windows and IOS - have allowed the streaming of iTunes or any other device that can stream to an Airplay compatible device or App to stream to Airfoil speakers, the version for Android will only accept a stream from Airfoil itself, I'm curious to know why and I've written to the developer so I hope I'll get an explanation.

Anyway worth the $8 from Google Play, you can get a demo version to try, after ten minutes you'll hear white noise mixed in with your received stream.
