Is this thing usable in the states? Also, is it capable of letting you
record and play back the SAP feed of a station to get description on it? Now
that Time Warner quietly enabled the SAP on analog at the vary least and 3
of the 4 major network affiliates do carry it here, I want to be able to
record described shows. I realize that if TWC ever did dump analog, I will
have to buy an antenna to do that, but does it support SAP to begin with?

I've had much success with the FetchTV Set Top Box both with the IOS and
Android Apps, I'm able to record and schedule TV series for example and
control the FetchTV Set Top Box from my mobile device thus the system is
very accessible apart from a few tweaks I had to make such as labelling
buttons.
I found a guide which explains exactly what the FetchTV App can do, what
devices its compatible with etc, thought some may be interested.
