Hi Paul,

My issue wasn't quite the same as yours, but I did have an issue where
Windows Mediaplayer was appearing when I wanted Winamp. I found the
following steps on the internet. Try them and see if they help. They did fix
my problem.

1. Click on Start and click on Default Programs (optionally enter default
programs into the search field)
2. This is where you can set many of the default programs in Windows 7, file
associations, autoplay settings and much more.
3. Click on Set program access and computer defaults:

Choose Windows 7 Default Programs

4. Click on the option Custom
5. Scroll down until you find the entry Choose a default media player
6. Uncheck the options Enable access to this program for Windows Media
Center and Windows Media Player

Thanks,
Barry Chapman

Subject: Making Winamp Default Player in Windows 7?

Hi all.

Is this possible?
I have pressed the "play all file types" button and checked the check box to
make Winamp default for audio CD's but alas, WMP is still my default media
player.
Any help or ideas would be REALLY appreciated and thanks in advance...Paul
