I can’t see why it wouldn’t work with non Skype devices though how well it will work is the interesting question, the device is your standard sound device however some extra add-ons and plug-ins are installed that Skype runs, I know these provide control functionality to the buttons on the front and they may also be the controller of the microphones for echo noise cancelation and so on.
