Hi!

List members may recall I wrote about my Asus RTAC3200 which I think I bought
near the end of November last year, the Asus RTAC3200 is a powerhouse of a
Router and for those new to what I’m talking about then you can find the whole
discussion in the PC-Audio archives.

I bought the Router for the many opportunities it offered in expanding my
network and to pursue my addiction, that of streaming content - whether it be
audio or video - from point A to Point B.

The Asus RTAC3200 has a theoretical top speed of 3200MBPS thanks to its
powerful processor and tri-band radios but even this looks rather tired when
one considers the new Asus RTAC5300 which was recently released and is the
talking point of the Router club right now.

I only mention this because now we have a new model of Router it would seem an
opportune time for those wishing to upgrade their Router hardware to look at
the RTAC320, the price has dropped significantly here since I bought mine,
dropped by over 10% in fact.

The RTAC5300 is still a rather expensive proposition - I’m not considering the
upgrade myself - but for those who have the money? All I say is go for it!
you’ll have the power of your network right in your hands to stream all your
data to the all the corners of your home - and in my case beyond -.

The RTAC5300 has 8 antennas rather than the 6 of the RTAC3200 thus covers an
even wider area, I can only imagine what sort of coverage I’d get here with one
of those things.

Anyway Hello to all you fell streamers and keep “In The Flow”.
