The ability to donwload makes absolute common sense, I'm betting that rivals of Netflix will follow suit before long.

Just reading in our local paper about the new Netflix "Download And Go"
functionality, download your movies etc before you board the plane -
where Internet access is limited or non-existent - and enjoy on your
Computer, Tablet, Mobile device etc.
