Yes indeed and may I take this opportunity of wishing all list members a Very Happy 2017 Why the change in direction? Well I don’t want to jump the gun of course but it would seem my audio and video streaming habits might change given I’ve just purchased the Chromecast II and the Chromecast Audio. I’ve been using DLNA a lot in recent times as more and more devices I own are compatible with the streaming format. Much of my streaming is either controlled or comes from my Samsung Galaxy S6 and other Android devices so it made sense to see what I could get from Chromecast devices given the price of them in Australia, around $60 each for the audio and the Chromecast II Video and both I can use in different situations. Obviously the Chromecast II would fit nicely into my surround-sound system where my Television and receiver are in the lunge whereas the Audio could be used in my Audiophile system in the Den, I like the fact that the Chromecast Audio has an Optical digital connection so I should get some pretty decent sound from that device.
