It's not that simple. pca uses quite some options from wget, and you
would have to find the equivalents for curl and change pca's download()
function accordingly. As wget comes with Solaris, I've never thought
about supporting an alternative.
If possible, try the wget commands which are officially documented by
Oracle in this document:

With that we'll find out whether it's a general problem with this
combination of openssl/wget/SunSolve, and whether pca is involved at
all. Maybe I'll make some own experiments next week.
