Hi list, I wanted to add my 2c to the community, but first, I have some question for Don O'Malley or someone @Oracle that could possibly confirm...
After having red the great article that Don suggested (http://blogs.oracle.com/patch/entry/useful_patch_related_downloads). I wanted to apply this new kind of getting both patches and informations on patches. Although, It was still an issue away: Login to MOS portal. Indeed, it's stated everywhere in this blog post "If you are logged on to MOS, and have a valid support contract associated". So you need the tiny MOS cookie before you can download anything using the "new way". Don: I have reversed the Oracle SSO authentication to allow a python script to login automatically and provide a cookies.txt file that could be use with wget to gather patches/metadata without having to interact with the MOS portal. Is there some legal issues for me to publish such code/explanation on how I did that ? I know that from the past, there's always been an article at Sun itself explaining how to automatize things. But starting from MOS... nothing.. What should I do ? -- Thomas Gouverneur _____ _ | ____|___ _ __ (_)_ __ | _| / __| '_ \| \ \/ / | |___\__ \ |_) | |> < |_____|___/ .__/|_/_/\_\ Network |_| SPRL TVA: BE683601811 T: +32 498 23 00 40 W: http://espix.net M: <[email protected]>
