With a new fall season comes new coaches and team leaders. It has come to my attention that not all of our new team leaders are aware of all the steps they need to complete to make their teams active and up to date in their conference.
1. Check your team record - http://collegesailing.org/teams/ From here look up your school and make sure all of the contacts are current and correct. At the very least we need 1 graduate who is acknowledged by the school as an administrator (club sports director, coach, adviser, etc). All of the phone number and email fields are important. That is how ICSA gets in touch with your team if there is a problem. 2. Register to be your team's directory administrator - http://classic.collegesailing.org/directory/individual/adminreg.asp This allows you to approve and modify your sailor's records in the ICSA database. All sailors need to be approved before racing each season. Your sailor has a fair amount of control over their records: Indicate eligibility for the current season Fall 2013 REMOVE eligibility for the current season Fall 2013 Change contact information, graduation year, eligibility history or privacy settings Change password Request Approval from my team's directory admin(s). Transfer to another school I have graduated. Convert my listing to Afterguard/Alumni Remove me from the database At an early team meeting bring a computer and have each sailor check and update their record, then you can approve them all at once. 3. Register with TechScore - https://ts.collegesailing.org/ From here you can manage your team's TechScore account (reconcile sailors, update your logo or team names, set up regattas, etc). If you have problems with any of these accounts go to your Conference Commissioner first, they are a wealth of knowledge and are there to help you. -- Danielle M.
