A thick Long Beach marine layer greeted our six ladies this morning as
they unloaded and started to rig. After a quick skippers meeting by
PRO Mike Segerblom the fleet headed out to the course off the Long
Beach Pier.
As the marine layer burned off the breeze started to build, coming
from the WNW at 7-8 kts. The RC support team (outnumbering the sailors
3:1) had an easy day with very few mark movements. The windward mark
moved once all day.
Congratulations to the Stanford Sailors Molly McKinney and Sarah Mace
advance to the Women's Singlehanded Nationals in Rhode Island.
Tomorrow the Men's Singlehanded Conference Championship starts along
with the Women's Pacific Coast Championship.
