Dear PCCSC, As the Assistant Director of Recreation of Santa Clara University I am concerned of safety issues for our Sailing program. Could you all please reply to me in regards to safety standards for team practice?
Do you require a coach boat with a motor to transport any athletes who may become injured out on the water at all times during practices? Do you require a minimum number of team members to be at practices or do you allow say one boat to go out for a practice? Do you require med kits to be in all boats? Do you require a cell phone to be taken out on the water to call for Emergency Response if needed? I would appreciate any information you can provide.
