Hello PCCSC! Cal Poly SLO is looking forward to hosting the Mustang Open Regatta on February 7th and 8th. The event will be a Coed-2-Division non-rotational event. Schools may enter as many teams as desired.
Parking for both cars and trailers if free everywhere except for the small launch ramp parking lot. I would recommend parking as many trailers in front of the tin shed parking lot across from Morro Bay Yacht Club, then filling up the MBYC boat yard as well. Once those areas are full you may park trailers on the streets. Launching may take place at the launch ramp a minute down the street form the yacht club, or at the crane at MBYC. ONLY a MBYC or Cal Poly team member may operate the crane, however we will have someone operating it for the morning. Dependent on the weather surf and tides, we will likely conduct A & B rotations on the beach next to the entrance of the harbor, break wall, and the big giant rock. Saturday night we will beach the boats on the sand spit across from the yacht club; Harbor Patrol has agreed to watch our boats over night. The event will be available on tech score soon and all RP information will be handled online. Also please email me your anticipated sail numbers for each boat by Tuesday, February 3rd.
