RULES

The organizing Authority (OA) is the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing
Conference (PCCSC) in conjunction with the CSULB Sailing Team. This regatta
shall be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the
prescriptions of US Sailing, ICSA Procedural Rules, ICSA Collegiate Dingy
Class Rules, PCCSC Standing Rules, and this Notice of Race (NOR), except as
modified by the Sailing Instructions (SIs).


FORMAT & ELIGIBILITY

The regatta is a single division skipper invite only regatta. PCCSC Teams
wishing to compete shall e-mail a list of eligible skippers to Danielle
Richards at [email protected] as soon as possible, but no
later then Tuesday, March  7th, 2015. The regatta will be a coed,
non-rotational event. Skippers who are invited will be placed in either the
Gold division or Silver division.



BOATS

Teams will race PCCSC-legal CFJs to be provided by each team. Teams must
provide their own PCCSC legal CFJ sails.


CHARTERING

Chartering is on a first come, first served bases. Contact Jess Gerry, LBYC

encouraged to contact Brad Schaupeter, UCSB Sailing Coach at
[email protected] and Allie Blecher, ABYC Junior Sailing Director
at [email protected]


ENTRY

Their shall be a $15 per boat entry fee paid at report time 0930, Saturday,
March 7th, 2015. Checks can be made out to the CSULB Sailing Team.


SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

The Sailing Instructions (SIs) will be available prior to the skippers
meeting Saturday, March 7th, 2015.


SAILING AREA/LAUNCHING

The sailing area shall be the Alamitos Bay turning basin adjacent to ABYC.
Teams shall be advised that we (including the CSULB Sailing Team) are guest
of ABYC and to be courteous to ABYC staff and members. ABYC will be used to
launch CFJs only and most of the regatta affairs will take place on the
beach adjacent to ABYC. Upon arrival at ABYC, teams will be given parking
passes for trailers and vehicles. Vehicles shall not enter ABYC grounds,
but CFJs trailers can for the use of rigging/launching CFJs. Teams are
instructed to launch CFJs from ABYC’s launch ramp and to sail/skull CFJs to
the beach adjacent to ABYC. Bringing team dollies is highly advisable. CFJs
will be stored on the beach adjacent to ABYC Saturday night. Trailers shall
be moved into the city’s parking lot adjacent to ABYC for storage. Teams
shall use the beach adjacent to ABYC for setting up team gear and
equipment. ABYC’s galley will be open throughout the weekend and teams are
encouraged to purchase snacks/beverages as they see fit. ABYCs restrooms
are also available for team use.


COACHING

Coaching is encouraged before and after races are completed only. Coaches
may be asked by the Race Committee to assist in running the races.


T-SHIRTS

CSULB Sailing Team tank tops will be available for purchase at report time
Saturday, March 7th, 2015 for $20 each. Individuals wishing to stay cool on
hot summer days are highly advised to purchase one.


HOUSING

Housing with CSULB Sailing Team members is at a minimum and teams wishing
to do so should contact Mark Ryan as soon as possible. The Ayres Hotel in
Seal Beach is owned and operated by sailors and is highly recommended.
