All, The ICSA School and Individual Directories are up and running. Please make sure your team is properly registered before your first event. New sailors/coaches/administrators/alumni can register here: http://classic.collegesailing.org/directory/individual/step1.asp
If your school is not listed in the directory let me know and we will add them. Every team needs to have a directory administrator who approves team registrations, this should be a graduate. Team admins can register here: http://classic.collegesailing.org/directory/individual/adminreg.asp They need to be approved by your Conference Commissioner so this is not an instant process and the Commissioners will be looking for graduates who can officially confirm a sailor's eligibility with the school, not students, to be filling this role. All team leaders should have a tech score account. ALL RP FORMS are the responsibility of the participating team, not the host, and must be completed within 24 hours of the completion of the regatta. Soon techscore will automatically apply the penalty, until then I will check at 4:30 Pacific time on Monday (consider this your deadline and your warning). You can sign up for a techscore account at https://ts.collegesailing.org/ All sailors can only sail for the school they are registered with and attend, schools who traditionally combine for other sports are not allowed to do so for sailing. See the below ruling of the eligibility committee: *Case PR 12(a) - 21 (2015) Teams Traditionally Combining Two Schools* *Question: Is a Student-Athlete enrolled at another College eligible to participate in ICSA sanctioned events although the two colleges have a formal agreement permitting students enrolled at one college to take classes and to participate in Club athletics at the other College.* *Answer: No. Student-Athletes participating in ICSA sanctioned events for a college in which they are enrolled violates PR 12(a). The fact that the two Colleges have a formal agreement permitting students to enroll and participate in Club athletics of the other college does not provide relief as an exception to PR 12(a)* *The teams of Colleges having such formal agreements shall have one season in which to separate. The ICSA President shall determine the beginning of the transitional season and shall notify the schools involved.* *No penalties related to this case under PR 15(c) shall be imposed for any violations of PR 12(a) which occurred at any time before the end of the transitional season.* Best Danielle -- Danielle M.
