Saturday, October 17Teams arrived this morning to a slew of midshipmen running around in circles as a part of their physical readiness test. Racing got underway in picturesque conditions in the Severn River that lasted all day, North West winds blowing at 8-14 knots. 10 races were completed in each division. After sailing, the Naval Academy Sailing Squadron Social Committee treated teams to a lovely spread of grilled meats, fruit, and other snacks. A big thanks to all of the volunteers who helped run races on the water, and to the NASS Social Committee for hosting another successful barbecue. Five protests and one request for redress were filed that resulted in 3 disqualifications and one redress for a broken laser mast. Thank you to all the coaches who stuck around to here protests. Tomorrow will begin with a harbor start at 0930 followed shortly after by the start of race 11A. Top 5Visit http://scores.collegesailing.org/f15/truxtun-umsted/ for full results.
