*COLLEGE SAILING * *70th ANNIVERSARY AFTERGUARD CHAMPIONSHIP*
*SAN DIEGO YACHT CLUB, SAN DIEGO, CA* *JUNE 4, 2016* *NOTICE OF RACE* This year, College Sailing has the pleasure of hosting its 70th Anniversary Afterguard Regatta at the conclusion of the 80th Henry A. Morss Memorial Coed National Championship. This will also serve as the 80th Anniversary Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference Regatta. Even if you cannot join us for the racing we hope you will join us in sharing 80 years of history over dinner and drinks afterwards. *1. **ORGANIZING AUTHORITY* The organizing authority is the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA). Race management, facilities and support provided by the San Diego Yacht Club (SDYC). *2. **RULES* The regatta will governed by the "rules" as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (“RRS”) for 2013-2016, the ICSA Procedural Rules for 2013-2016, and this Notice of Race, except as any of these are modified by the Sailing Instructions. *3. **BOATS* The event will be sailed in CFJs, J22s, and a larger keelboat TBD. *4. **FORMAT* The format for this will be decided based on number of entries and conditions. We encourage teams to organize prior to the event. Only half of the racers will be on the water at a time, this will allow for ample socialization on the dock. Even if you are not able to sail please join us for a great day of sharing memories! *5. **ELIGIBILITY* Entry is restricted to former collegiate sailors and their families. Skippers shall be a former collegiate sailor. Teams do not have to be comprise of individuals from the same school. *6. **FEES* Entry Fees are as follows: $40 per person Racing only. This includes boat charter, lunch, and keg on dock during racing. $70 per person Racing & Dinner. This includes boat charter, lunch and keg on dock during racing as well a 1 ticket to the Afterguard Championship Dinner at SDYC after racing. $40 per person Dinner only. This includes one ticket to the Afterguard Championship Dinner at SDYC after racing. Dinner is yacht club casual (Hawaiian shirts encouraged) *7. **SCHEDULE* Saturday, June 4, 2016 1000 Report Time 1130 First Warning 1600 No Start After 1800 Dinner and Awards *8. **REGISTRATION* All sailors shall register online at 2016nationals.collegesailing.org prior to 1700 Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Walk up entries will be accepted on a space available basis the day of. Sailors are encouraged to pair up in a collegiate A & B division format ahead of time. *9. **SOCIAL* A keg will be located on the racing dock during racing hours. Only competitors with a wristband will be provided with a cup. The San Diego Yacht Club bar and main dining room are open all day and accept cash or credit card. Tickets for the event dinner are available on the regatta website. *10. **IMPORTANT INFORMATION* The San Diego Yacht Club is holding another regatta on this date and it is the beginning of the summer season so parking will be limited. There is a large free lot across the street and ample parking in the neighborhood.
