Sailors and Coaches, I know many of your are getting anxious about the 2017 Spring Schedule so I wanted to share the timeline with everyone.
Conference Schedulers have been notified that they need to submit their conference schedules to me by January 5th. I currently have schedules from MAISA, NEISA, NWICSA, PCCSC, and SAISA. *After January 5th I need to be copied on all Adds/Drops for events on the schedule.* I will input those schedules into the Master ICSA schedule (which will be available here: 2017 ICSA LIVE SCHEDULE <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zxiy7tBJlQI53IMDkWUaqp3_x_27WU6mIlMr_-qPqcc/edit?usp=sharing> ) over the weekend and post the draft no later than Sunday night. Once posted I will resend a notice to all lists and asks hosts and teams to double check details and assignments before the 10th. This is your last chance to add/drop before the host schools assign invites. Once invites are assigned all adding teams go to the very back of the list, after the host conference schools. I will not send emails to teams with confirmed conference berths, I will only email teams when an opening/invite becomes available. I use the email addresses listed here: http://classic.collegesailing.org/teams.asp If your school's contact information is incorrect and I cannot get a response (yes, no, working on it, etc.) within 2 school days I'll move on. Please take this time to make sure that listing is correct with your teams contacts for the Spring. I usually copy all three contacts listed unless one is identified as a school administrator or missing. Drop deadlines are posted on the live schedule.I will send reminders out for the first couple of drop deadlines but you need to be watching the ones for the events you are signed up for. Out of conference teams dropping after the deadline are subject to sanctions by the ICSA President. There are no ICSA penalties for late in-conference drops but your conference may have penalties. Berths not claimed by the 1-month mark (posted on the schedule) are forfeited and become invites. -- Danielle M.
