Hello PCCSC, below is a check list for items all teams must do or should
do. Please use this email as a reference for this season.

*MANDATORY ITEMS*
1. Register all sailors in ICSA database: Go to
https://ts.collegesailing.org/sailor-registration and have all of your
sailors register. This is a new registration system for ICSA and must be
done by all sailors on your team! (Do this well in advance of each
sailor's first regatta so they show up in techscore ahead of the event).

2. Make sure you have pinnies that meet the specs outlined in the ICSA
Procedural Rules:
http://collegesailing.org/documents/ICSA_Documentation/2017-2020-Procedural-Rules-2017-05-23.pdf
*Team Uniforms - All student-athletes competing in ICSA regattas shall wear
a uniform designating their college. The uniform shall be a lightweight
jersey, bib, or pinnie worn over the lifejacket, or like-colored
lifejackets. To designate the college, any combination of the college’s
name, nickname, mascot, or other identifying image shall be present on the
back of the uniform and, except for an individual’s name or number, shall
be the same for all team members competing. ICSA recommends that the image
used to designate the college be at least 8” X 8” in size. f) A college
whose student-athletes fail to wear PFD’s or uniforms for each race shall
be subject to the appropriate penalty per PR 33(a) or (b). In conference
regattas, as described in PR 9, the Regatta Chairman may waive any penalty
under this rule. *

3. Make sure you are using conference legal sails and the correct sail #'s:

http://pccsc.collegesailing.org/documents/pccsc_standing_rules_sail_numbers.pdf.
Please note that numbers should be on the tack of the jibs as well.

4. Designate a team admin person to register for a TechScore account to do
RP (Record of Participation) info in techscore https://ts.collegesailing.org.
RP info must be updated and done by 8am the morning following an event or
penalties will be administered.

5. Sign up for the regattas you plan on attending and keep your team
contacts up to date here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1byMrbJbEVDiq5I-RieaQM7x2wekgwMJNTkvTtiRZ23A/edit#gid=920047653.
Remember to remove your team from any events you will not attend well in
advance of the event, *ESPECIALLY EVENT WHERE BOATS ARE PROVIDED AND/OR
CHAMPIONSHIPS. *Teams failing to remove their team from the signup list at
least five days in advance of a championship or event where boats are
provided may be subject to sanctions by the PCCSC executive committee. *

*Non-Mandatory Items*
6. Encourage your team members to sign up for the PCCSC List Serve here:
http://pccsc.collegesailing.org/about/mailing-list

7. Read the ICSA Procedural Rules:
http://collegesailing.org/documents/ICSA_Documentation/2017-2020-Procedural-Rules-2017-05-23.pdf

8. Read the conference Standing Rules:
http://pccsc.collegesailing.org/pccsc-documents/standing-rules-policies

9. Read the conference By-Laws:
http://pccsc.collegesailing.org/pccsc-documents/bylaws

10. Make sure you are up to date with your own university on all of their
requirements to stay a team. This is a checklist you need to create on
your own!

If all team members do everything above, our conference will improve
drastically. There seems like there's a lot of rules, but this is
basically it and if you take care of them all up front, you will be able to
focus on getting better as a team on the water. I suggest you have at
least the team captain for each team read items 7, 8, and 9 and go over the
important rules with your team at meetings for five minutes each week.

I look forward to working with you all this fall!
