PCCSC Teams, At the PCCSC Annual Meeting this January we discussed the possibility of providing modest grants for teams who qualify for the PCCs this semester due to the higher cost of traveling to Hawaii. On Tuesday evening, the PCCSC Executive Committee approved funds to provide grants to interested teams.
If your team would like to apply for one of these grants, please fill out the linked form by* MARCH 26, 2018.* *2018 Spring PCCs Grant Request* <https://goo.gl/forms/gCvfkCRXTpI5XhTp2> *FAQ:* Q: How do we apply for one of these grants? *A: Each grant application (one per team) shall be filled out online through the Google Form linked above.* Q: The grant application deadline is March 26th. That's before the North Designate, so our team won't know if we've qualified for the PCCs yet. *A: All teams that make qualifying for the PCCs a goal should consider applying for a grant. If your team does not qualify for the PCCs, then the grant funds will be allocated to other teams in the conference.* Q: What if we do not know which sailors will be able to compete for us at the PCCs? *A: Fill out all information that you can about the sailors who plan to compete for your team in Hawaii. The more complete, the better.* Q: How big are these grants? *A: A total of $2000 has been allocated by the conference for funding these grants. This is intended to offset some cost of attendance, but only a smaller portion. Teams should have a funding plan in place for attending this event using team funds, other grants/fundraising or personal funds.
