Hello everyone,
The nomination period for ICSA All-Academic Team is now open. It will end
5pm Friday, June 15th. No late submissions will be accepted.
The ICSA All-Academic Sailing Team recognizes Juniors and Seniors who have
participated as a competitor or alternate in seven regattas and have a
cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

*The nomination process has changed for this year but the criteria remains
the same.*

To nominate yourself or another sailor, go to the sailor's page on
scores.collegesailing.org.
1) Go to this page: https://scores.collegesailing.org/schools/
2) Find the sailor's school and click on it
3) Select "ROSTER" on the upper right side of the page
4) Select the sailor you would like to nominate.
5) In the upper right corner of the sailor's page, there should be a button
on the top right side labelled "Nominate for All-Academic 2018"
6) Clicking that button will take you to the nomination form and auto-fill
the Sailor ID and school code questions.
7) Fill out remaining information, attach a transcript and submit.

Here are some common questions:

Q: I am a eligible sailor, can I nominate myself?
A: Yes, if you are a junior or senior, have sailed or been a reserve at 7
events, and have a GPA above 3.3, you are eligible.

Q: Do off-shore regattas count?
A: If you represent your school as a member of the off-shore sailing team
at a non-collegiate event that occurs during the collegiate season, these
events may count but must be listed on the nomination form. Further
questions about off-shore eligibility should be referred to ICSA President
Mitch Brindley and All-Academic chair Matt Lindblad.

Q: I don't have my 2nd semester grades yet, what do I do?
A: Your current GPA as it appears on your transcript is acceptable, as long
as it includes first semester or second trimester grades from this
academic year.
It is very important that you complete the nomination form on time.

Q: How do I know how many regattas I sailed?
A: Go to scores.collegesailing.org and find your name in your team's
results. Click on the hyper-linked name, you can view all the events at
which they appeared on the RP form as a sailor or reserve.

Q: I haven't sailed or been a reserve at 7 events yet, but my team is
qualified for nationals and I will be a reserve/sailor there. What should I
do?
A: Please note this on the form. The team will not be named until after the
coed championships are completed.

Q. I don't see the "nominate for All-Academic 2018" button on my page?
A. Confirm that the sailor is a junior or senior. If yes and the button
does not appear, email Matt Lindblad at [email protected] .

Q. A link in this process is broken and I get an error page?
A. Email Matt Lindblad at [email protected] .
