Hello teams, the Fall Pacific Coast Championship is quickly approaching and I wanted to remind everyone of a few things:
1. The Varsity course allows for one coed team from each school and one women's team from each school. It is 3 division and two divisions will be on the water at the same time, so *you will need six sailors, two boats, and two sets of PCCSC legal sails* for each varsity team your school wants to field. The JV course allows for unlimited teams. It is 2 divisional rotating between A and B in between sets, so you only need 1 boat and 1 set of sails per team you would like to field on the JV course. 2. UCSB Charter boats are assigned by distance traveled for varsity teams first. We have chartered out all 10 of our boats at this time. Chartering teams include Hawaii, Western Washington, UW, UVic, and ASU. Please either bring a check or cash made out to 'UCSB Sailing Team'. Charter boats are $100 each for the weekend. Sails are not provided with boats, but can be for an extra fee. *If your team has space on your trailer for extra boats to be chartered please let me know, as I know of teams still looking for more boats. 3. Please park all trailers and boats in the back row of the launch ramp area. Map is available on the event site. 7. All teams should have 1-2 representatives at the PCCSC Conference Meeting on Saturday, November 10 after racing (around 5:15pm) at the Santa Barbara Yacht Club (130 Harbor Way). There is no parking at the SBYC, so you can park outside the lot in the 90 minute parking or just walk over from the launch ramp. An agenda will be sent out soon to the conference.
