PCCSC Teams, As many of you may have heard, it was an eventful ICSA Winter Meeting earlier this month. Thank you to Alyson Crowley (Cal Poly) for serving as our undergraduate representative and also to Brad (UCSB) and Erin (CMA) for being there to amplify our PCCSC voices. It’s been a busy 2 weeks in between for me with our 2nd kid born on the 15th.
Some of the ramifications of the meeting are significant, and I will spell those out in great detail in an email to our conference over the next few days. In short, one significant change will likely be the merging of the NWICSA into our conference in the coming 18 months. I am attending the NWICSA meeting next weekend and will meet with their leaders to have an understanding of their preliminary thoughts on this merger and bring issues and concerns that they have to our conference meetings. With that said, we will host the *North Meeting in Berkeley (after Cal TR) on February 8th*. With the need to chat with NW reps before the meeting, we will delay the *South meeting until Feb 15 in the LA area - TBD*.
