Teams, I have a couple updates for everyone on COVID and the potential impacts for teams in the PCCSC.
1. The PCCSC is convening a group of regional leaders to help build community and ensure that we have good conversation among teams during this time. Mike Segerblom, former PCCSC Commissioner, USC coach emeritus and Executive Director of the United States Sailing Center - Long Beach will be leading the effort. The specific goals of this effort are to ensure that we have contacts to support teams as students and staff are away from campus, that we can clearly communicate news, changes and recommendations, and that we can make sure that teams continue to thrive following any continued cancelation of PCCSC sailing. Teams in each region should expect to be in touch with their regional representative in the next week or so. - LA area and South: Mike Segerblom/USC - Middle/Central Coast: Brad Schaupeter/UCSB - Northern CA: Erin Sprague/California Maritime 2. The ICSA has created a task force looking at implications of COVID on our teams, sailors, budgets and competition. To have a full understanding of how things are working with as many schools throughout the ICSA as possible, the task force is asking for a team leader from each school to to fill out the following questionnaire: *https://forms.gle/A8btpZDrenTNVJFDA* <https://forms.gle/A8btpZDrenTNVJFDA> We understand that things are changing rapidly and that implications for teams will become more clear over the summer.
