Good Afternoon ICSA,

Over the past several months, as part of our mission to better educate the
sailing community and engage tough conversations about diversity and
inclusion, the ICSA Task Force has developed a new program for
distribution.

This program is geared towards and tailored to coaches and student leaders,
in the hopes of not only informing our leaders about exclusive or
problematic behaviors, but also to facilitate and encourage more inclusive
practices on our teams. The program has been developed by a very capable
group, composed of 16 TIDE representatives all over the country.

The format of the program entails both asynchronous and synchronous
portions. While we encourage all participants to engage with all forms of
the material, the asynchronous materials are supplemental to the
synchronous presentations. They will be emailed out to you by the
synchronous facilitators.

The synchronous portion will be presented in three installments. The first
focuses on team culture, implicit bias and socio-economic class. The second
focuses on microaggressions, derogatory language and cultural
appropriation. The final presentation focuses on community outreach,
recruiting and retention. The dates for those presentations is as follows:

March 8-19: Team Culture, Implicit Bias and Socio-Economic Class

March 22-April 2: Microaggressions, Derogatory Language and Cultural
Appropriation

April 5-16: Community Outreach, Recruiting, Retention

selection of times to give the most people the greatest opportunity to
