This program is geared towards and tailored to coaches and student leaders, in the hopes of not only informing our leaders about exclusive or problematic behaviors, but also to facilitate and encourage more inclusive practices on our teams. The program has been developed by a very capable group, composed of 16 TIDE representatives all over the country. The format of the program entails both asynchronous and synchronous portions. While we encourage all participants to engage with all forms of the material, the asynchronous materials are supplemental to the synchronous presentations. They will be emailed out to you by the synchronous facilitators. The synchronous portion will be presented in three installments. The first focuses on team culture, implicit bias and socio-economic class. The second focuses on microaggressions, derogatory language and cultural appropriation. The final presentation focuses on community outreach, recruiting and retention.
