Reminder to do the below items ASAP. Brad Schaupeter *PCCSC Commissioner* Email: [email protected] Cell Phone: (310) 850-5213
---------- Forwarded message --------- From: PCCSC Commissioner <[email protected]> Date: Sat, Sep 3, 2022 at 11:13 AM Subject: PCCSC Important Pre-Season To Do List To: PCCSC Commissioner <[email protected]> Hello PCCSC, in this email is a list of things that must be done asap and require completion prior to competition. Please note that regional and cross-regional teams must have submitted a declaration of adherence prior to being able to register sailors in tech-score. Your team will not show up until you have that document turned in (Fundamental Teams are exempt). *PCCSC TEAMS' TO DO LIST * *1. Bills must be paid * There are a handful of teams that are behind on paying last year's dues (I have emailed most of them already). It is crucial that attempts to pay these past due invoices be made as soon as possible to be permitted to compete this fall. Please reach out to me with questions regarding this - I am here to help. These dues payments are critical to secure the funding to implement an exciting grant program we will be announcing this fall. *2. Declarations of Adherence* - In order to comply with *Procedural Rules 11a and A5* each* Cross Regional and Regional Team must also complete the attached Declaration of Adherence* prior to the start of the season. (The Adherence form can also be found in *Appendix D* in our *2021-2024_Procedural_Rules_2021-08-24 * <https://collegesailing.org/documents/ICSA_Documentation/2021-2024_Procedural_Rules.pdf> documen <https://collegesailing.org/documents/ICSA_Documentation/2021-2024_Procedural_Rules.pdf> t. - The Declaration of Adherence can be found here: https://collegesailing.org/documents/ICSA_Documentation/ICSA_Declaration_of_Adherence_v9-2022.pdf This declaration *must be signed by a College Chancellor, President, or their Designee *(may be a club sports director - but cannot be a coach) to be eligible (e-signature is acceptable). Upon your submission of a properly signed declaration your team will be activated on Techscore and ready to register all sailors in Techscore. *Fundamental teams must still have all sailors registered on Techscore to be eligible to compete* this season, but you do not need a Declaration of Adherence. All sailors competing in ICSA events must meet eligibility requirements defined by the ICSA Procedural Rules. If you have any questions please contact: 1. Reed Maltbie - [email protected] <https://mailto:[email protected]/> 2. Danielle Richards - [email protected] <https://mailto:[email protected]/> *3. TechScore registration * Once you have first submitted your declaration of adherence, you may register in techscore: It is that time of year again to certify your team’s eligibility for competition, update competitor eligibility for the Fall ‘22 season on Techscore, and register new sailors on Techscore. In order to comply with *Procedural Rules 11A and A5* each* Cross Regional and Regional Team must complete the attached Declaration of Adherence* prior to the start of the season.* (There will be an additional, detailed, email regarding the Declaration of Adherence.) *Once a team has submitted the Declaration of Adherence the school will be switched to *active* status on Techscore. Fundamental teams must update their leadership contact information with their conference commissioners. Please be familiar with ICSA Procedural Rules Part III Eligibility <https://collegesailing.org/documents/2021-2024_Procedural_Rules_2021-08-24.pdf> . Below are a few notes about techscore - *Please read all the way to the bottom*. 1. If you are already registered with Techscore as a Student and need team admin access for the Fall season please let me know. *DO NOT* register for a second scorer account. 2. If you are a new coach and need a new scorer account use this link: https://ts.collegesailing.org/register 3. Within 24 hours your team will be made active in Techscore and can be selected for regattas. Your sailors can also now start registering. *Please copy and paste the italicized message below and send it to your sailors. * We will hound you until it's complete so get on your sailors now. --------- *1) Go to **https://ts.collegesailing.org/sailor-registration* <https://ts.collegesailing.org/sailor-registration>*. Fill out the information correctly and accurately. This is the information that is used for all scoring and any official announcements. Common pitfalls are entering the incorrect school (United States of America is not a correct school choice), or the incorrect year of graduation.* *Please make sure you register as a sailor: (see picture)* *2) A confirmation email will be sent that must be responded to activate registration. Look in your junk/SPAM folder for an email from [email protected] <[email protected]> if you do not see it in your inbox. It will come within 5 minutes of registering and **the link in the email expires after a certain amount of time to do this all when you register.* *3) REVIEW THIS SECTION CAREFULLY! You will be taken to a page asking you to match with any temporary records that may have been created. If you have never raced before just click “I’m New” otherwise match your account to any temporary records you may have. Look carefully at the names and there may be close matches that are not you.* *4) Now go to **https://ts.collegesailing.org/* <https://ts.collegesailing.org/>* and log in using the email you registered with and the password you entered at that time. Agree to the End User License Agreement. Registration is now complete.* *--------------* 4. Coaches and/or team leaders, you need to go in and activate the sailors for the fall. Once they are active they should roll over automatically for the spring. It's a tedious process, but it must get done. Here's how to do it: 1. Log-in to Techscore scoring account but DO NOT select any regattas 2. Go to Membership-->My Sailors 3. In the filter dialog box, type in 2021 [or 2022, 23, 24] and click "Apply" (small blue button) 4. Select a sailor 5. Scroll down and select the Fall 2021 check box 6. Scroll down and select "update" 7. After it updates, click "back to list" Unfortunately, you have to repeat ALL of steps 3-7 for every sailor. When you click "back to list" it does not go back to your list filtered by grad year. 5. Please make sure all sailors are properly registered at least *72 hours prior to your first event*. If you have any questions, please contact 1. Danielle Richards <https://mailto:[email protected]/> - [email protected] <https://mailto:[email protected]/> 2. Or Reed Maltbie <https://mailto:[email protected]/> - [email protected] <https://mailto:[email protected]/> *4. HAVE THE PROPER EQUIPMENT TO COMPETE* These items are required at competition: - US Coastguard approved lifejackets - Pinnies - Read PCCSC Standing Rule 20 for details: https://pccsc.collegesailing.org/pccsc-documents/standing-rules - Sails - Have the correct sails and sail numbers at events that are bring your own boats: https://pccsc.collegesailing.org/pccsc-documents/sr-appendix-c-pccsc-sail-policy *5.
