Yes, you need to buy a video card with video input capability, or a
dedicated video capture board. I went the second route and bought the
Formac ProTV, which came with an FM and TV tuner, S-video/RF/composite
inputs, and Adobe Premiere 5.1 LE for around $130 -- less now, I
would imagine. I have no experience with 3dfx cards, so I can't make
any recommendations. ATI has some excellent cards based on the Rage
128 Pro chipset that are worth considering as well.
