Thanks everyone for your tips! I have been rebuilding the desktop and zapping the PRAM (but I will try doing it more than two chimes) before the computer started with the flashing question mark. Just out of curiosity, how long should I be holding down the c key to get it to boot of the cd? Does it take a while?
