Teo,

I'm not sure what your computer specs are. It could be
several things contributing to the problem.

Drive speed is important, your capture card may not be
able to handle the resolution you are capturing at and
not enough memory. Also a bloated system, unnecessary
extensions and control panels.

What drives are you using?
What computer with how much ram?
What program are you using to capture with?
Is this an Apple or other AV card?
Do you have a SCSI controller card?
