I don't know if you want to spend the money but a Farallon Ethermac IPrint
Adapter LT which costs 80.65 at buy.com will solve your problem. Here is a
description of the iPrint.
The EtherMac iPrint Adapter LT allows Apple's USB-equipped Macs or other
Ethernet-equipped Macs connect to LocalTalk printers including most Apple
LaserWriters and newer StyleWriters, as well as many HP Laser and inkjet
printers (You may have to determine if your printer supports LocalTalk). If
your printer supports Ethernet, you will get better performance using the
Ethernet connection with your Mac. The iPrint Adapter LT also permits file
sharing with LocalTalk-equipped Macintosh computers. It features an
integrated RJ-11 port for easy connectivity to an existing LocalTalk printer
or network, provides 10Base-T Ethernet connection directly to an
USB-equipped Mac, Ethernet hub or other Ethernet-based Macs, supports up to
8 LocalTalk-equipped printers or Macs, sets-up in minutes; no software to
install, comes with all cables needed and includes a lifetime warranty.
