Hi,
I accidently posted this to the wrong list. I hope some can help.
Can anyone help with information about the Tv tuner and video card in the 5400 and
5500 ? Either on or off list. The Powermac has a 5400/180 with an Apple Video in card,
and a Tv Tuner card, works exactly as it should. When we tried to install a 5500/250
with a video in card and all other things the same (ram, cache etc) the computer faiils
to recognize the hardware. We swapped known working Tv tuner card and video card from
the 5400 and still no video, either through the coax input or rca/composite video in.
we have a second Tv tuner card and tried that, again works fine with the 5400 , but
not the 5500. Zapped the Pram, threw away the Apple Video Player Preferences. Please,
any suggestions? Any known compatiblity issues with the 5500/250 mb and Tv tuner? Or
is their a different kind of card needed for this MB (5500/250) ?
Thank,
