Hi, For those who are interested, I've solved the 'skipping' problem with audio (and I assume video) files and the Sonnet Tempo ATA66 PCI card on my 7500/G3. Well, the solution is to get rid of the 7500 and use a 7300 mobo (which I picked up for a song). Seems the alledged PCI timing issues are solved on the newer model. So I swapped over the tempo, voodoo5, 2 hard drives, G3 upgrade, and RAM (took about 10 minutes - try that on a PC!) and it all worked first time - no pram zapping or cuda pressing necessary. So far Audion 2, SoundJam and iTunes all work as intended - no skipping (except when I open Outlook Express). Now.. how do I get those frame rates up on iTunes visualiser? I'd have thought the Voodoo5 is up to the job, but I guess iTunes doesn't use glide... Hugh -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
