Well... It's been said that one can just use a printer cable to connect
the two Macs together.  Then turn on file sharing on both systems and in
the file sharing CP select "share this device".  Go to the AT control
panel and select the port that the cable is hooked to. Open the chooser
and enable Appletalk then click on Appleshare.  You should see the other
system. When you click on it it will ask which of the drive(s) you want
to connect to.  Select one. Close the chooser and the remote drive
should be mounted on the local desktop.

Me? I used to use the AT tranceivers and a phone cord, but the same
principle applies. The AT transceivers just allow you to connect more
than two devices.
