I upgraded my Centris 650 to OS 7.6, getting ready to use it as the server
for IPNetRouter. Then, it dawned on me that when I was using OS 7.1 on it,
there was a choice through the Memory Control Panel between 32 or 16 bit
addressing. This allowed me to use programs like Publish-it-easy or
Ready-Set-Go 3, which crash on 32 bit machines.
Times have changed and I am now on Systems 7.6, 8.6 and 9.1. No longer is
the 16-bit option available. But there are some files still in Publish-it
Easy that I could use. Is there a way to emulate 16-bit addressing on the
Starmax or the 8600? Or do I need to drag the Mac Classic out of the closet?
TIA
Kim
