Hello all,
A week ago, I ran Norton Utilities on my machine. It probably did a
lot of good, but I noticed that the pesky Key Chain message started
coming up again whenever I used Eudora. I've forgotten what I had
previously done to eradicate this annoyance--maybe it just Went Away
after clicking CANCEL for the hundredth time.
The message:
[!]Would you like to create a keychain to store your passwords and
certificates?
A keychain stores your certificates and passwords for servers,
internet resources, and applications. These items are retrieved
automatically when needed.
[(?)] [Unlock Other...] [CANCLE(!)]
[[Create]]
(I
always click here)
The Key Chains control panel is disabled. I've been almost everywhere
else in the computer in my attempt to purge the problem. I trashed
the Keychains folder (while making a compressed archive of it, just
in case it contained invisible files and I decided to use it later).
The System just makes a new Keychains folder. Next, I replace this
folder with a SimpleText document entitled "Keychains." Nothing seems
to help. Eudora didn't appear to have anything about it in "Settings."
This seems a little Gatesian to me. HELP!
TIA,
Tim Sullivan
