I cannot speak for 8.5.1 but I can tell you it will definitely not work
with OS 8.1. I purchased a PCI USB card and tried to install the USB
Support 1.4.1. Got an error message that it could not be used by my
system. Apple has no older drivers on their web site. Yes they say OS 8.1
includes support for USB but good luck finding older drivers.
