Other World Computing says their "generic" memory is made from the same
components as the "branded brand." If it is guaranteed (e.g., for
"life") by a reliable, helpful company (like OWC), then it seems like a
"safe" investment. According to an Apple webpage I visited today, the
PCI PowerMacs can take either EDO or FPM, but EDO works like FPM. That's
an indirect quote from Apple.
