I've been looking for OS 8.5 and being the 'picky' person that I am, don't
want to buy other people's cast-off's. I had the experience of buying OS
7.6 on ebay and got a workable CD but it is stained and to this day it sends
shivers down my spine thinking of what that stain might be.
I was able to buy OS 8.1 from Apple and I'm pleased with it so I wanted to
do the same...I called 1-800 MY APPLE (I hate phone numbers with letters in
it!) and asked about OS 8.5 and was told that they don't sell it. I asked
the salesperson if he knew of anywhere that sold it and he said to go to
http://www.poweron.com/ and I did. There, you can buy OS 8.5 for 79.99 and
it's not somebodys 'cast-off'.
Just wanted you all to know.
PS, the Apple support person said that they won't be selling OS 9.1 after
July 31, so anybody who wants it might think about doing so NOW!
