Yes, the drives are the same.  But you'll need to use the jumper pins to
set the SCSI-ID, since there will be no switch to use.  (SCSI drives DO
come in various heights, as well as the three widths 5 1/4 [big, old],
3 1/2 ["normal"] and 2 1/2 [laptop -- mostly IDE, though], so make sure
you have the right sized bay before you start! -- Experience speaking!)

You can also now do this with an IDE/ATA drive if you have the right size
of USB or Firewire case.
