The following is an interesting article about interleaving, found in Apple's

Although it's concerning old machines like Quadras, it explains well the
concept of interleaving, and by the way it says also that interleaving
speeds up RAM access "by as much as 30%" (with a 68040 processor though -
now Kyle will say that PPC601-604-750 is another story... ;-)
