Hi all,
xlr8yourmac has an interesting page about memory interleaving:
http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/RAM/
Their tests show a speed gain which ranges from 0% to 22%, depending on the
application used. The bottom line is that "applications that move a large
amount of data like Photoshop and Unreal show some benefit from interleaving
RAM".
Anyway, following Kyle's advice, I'll run some tests on my Power Mac 7500
just to see how interleaving impacts the applications I use - all this
talking about interleaving made me curious!
